We’re all talking about short trips close to home once restrictions are lifted. But not all countries will benefit equally. There are some rather large assumptions that people will divert international holiday spending back into the domestic economy. Perhaps we forget to acknowledge that when times are tough, holidays are a privilege rather than a right.
